Review| Carmex lip balm stick

A semana passada resolvi experimentar comprar numa loja online que há muito ouvia falar, a Maquillalia, que tem muitos produtos de beleza e cosmética que não se encontram em Portugal ou que até se vendem cá mas são mais caros. Resolvi aproveitar a promoção que estavam a fazer na marca Wet n Wild em que na compra de 20€ em produtos da marca ofereciam uma bolsa surpresa com o mesmo valor em produtos Wet n Wild. Mas irei falar melhor dos produtos que comprei desta marca num próximo post. Para além dos produtos da Wet n Wild, comprei o Carmex (finalmente!), do qual se ouve falar sempre muito bem aqui pela blogosfera, e como era apenas 3,50€, resolvi aproveitar. 

Last week, I made a purchase for the first time from an online store that I have heard about a lot, Maquillalia, which has some beauty and makeup products that do not exist here in Portugal or are cheaper than in here. I took advantage of the promo they were doing last weekend in the brand Wet n Wild in which in the purchase of 20€ in this brand products they offer a surprise bag. But I will talk about it better in a next post. Apart from these Wet n Wild products, I bought the Carmex lip balm (finally!) that it is always so talked about here in the blogosphere. It was only 3.50€ so I decided to buy it.

Eles têm três tipos de embalagens à venda, o boião, o tubo e em stick, todas pelo mesmo preço. Escolhi a em stick por ser a mais prática para mim, mas posso-vos dizer que não foi a escolha mais acertada. Depois de já ter feito a compra reparei que as outras embalagens, pelo mesmo preço desta, trazem muito mais produto (o boião traz 7,5g e o tubo 10g) enquanto esta apenas vem com 4,25g. Para além disso, à terceira utilização, a peça que roda para fazer subir ou descer o batom, deixou de funcionar! Só consigo subir o batom, quando rodo para o lado contrário o batom não desce, e então agora tenho de ter sempre cuidado a fechar o batom para não raspar com a tampa no produto. 

Tirando isto, estou muito contente com ele, hidrata muito bem os lábios. Como eu tenho os lábios sempre muito secos, há muitos batons deste tipo que não resultam comigo porque preciso sempre que sejam bastante hidratantes, mas este é óptimo para mim. Quando o pomos, passado um pouco, ficamos com uma sensação de frio ou formigueiro nos lábios, que é sinal de que o batom está a actuar e que dura à volta de uns 5 minutos. Se calhar para algumas pessoas isso iria fazer alguma confusão mas eu penso que é uma questão de hábito, a mim sinceramente não me faz muita diferença. Além de que depois a sensação de lábios hidratados dura bastante tempo o que é um ponto bastante positivo. O batom cheira um bocadinho a menta mas não tem um cheiro muito intenso. Posto isto, irei voltar a comprar o Carmex de certeza mas da próxima vez irei escolher a embalagem do tubo, tem a maior quantidade de produto e é mais prática que o boião, e não irei ter o problema que aconteceu com esta, da embalagem se estragar.

They have three types of packaging for sale, the jar, tube and stick, all for the same price. I chose the stick because it's the most practical for me, but I can tell you that it was not the best choice. After I have already made the purchase, I noticed that the other two packages, bring much product for the same price (the jar brings 7.5 and the tube 10g) and the stick only comes with 4.25g. In addition, at the third use, the piece that makes the lipstick go up and down, got damaged! Now the lipstick can only go up and doesn't go down. 
Apart from that, I am very happy with it, it moisturizes the lips very well. As I have very dry lips , there are many lipsticks of this type that do not work on me because I always need a very moisturizing one, but this one is great for me. When we put it on, we get a sensation of cold or tingling in the lips, after a while, which is a sign that the lipstick is working and it lasts for approximately 5 minutes. Maybe for some people it would make some confusion, but I think it's a matter of habit, to me honestly it doesn't make much of a difference. Apart from that, the feeling of hydrated lips lasts a for a long time, which is a very positive point. The lip balm has a mint smell, but it isn't very strong. I will buy Carmex again for sure, but next time I will choose the tube package, it has the largest amount of product and is more practical than the jar, and I will not have the same problem that happened with the stick one.

Em relação à experiência com a Maquillalia, gostei bastante, foram muito rápidos a entregar as coisas. Fiz a encomenda durante o fim-de-semana, na segunda-feira fui recebendo e-mails acerca do processamento do pedido e este foi enviado nesse mesmo dia. Terça-feira de manhã, por volta das 10h e tal, já estavam a entregá-lo em minha casa. Para além de que os produtos vinham todos muito bem embalados para evitar que alguma coisa se partisse pelo caminho.

I really liked to buy in Maquillalia, they were really quick with the delivery and the product came very well packed to prevent products from breaking.
